This event is coordinated by Golf Australia (not BDLGA) however BDLGA is responsible for selecting our District team.
Friendly reminder, BDLGA select our District team based on 2026 BDLGA event performance, specifically BDLGA Championships results so please ensure you sign up for our events, especially the Championships (when registrations are open).
Details about the 2026 District Team Championships will be released by Golf Australia closer to the event.
2025
The second annual QLD District Team Championships run by Golf Australia was held at the Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast from 9 to 11 November 2025. Our B&D team including Jill Thurgood (C), Sandra Croft, Helen Sydes, Debra Shand, Maria McAllister and Lindy Shepherd did themselves and us proud! Jill and Sandra (Div 1) finished in 4th place; Helen and Debra (Div 2) finished in 5th place; and Maria and Lindy (Div 3) finished in 6th place. Teams from 9 Districts across the State competed in this event.
2024
The inaugural event (replacing the Meg Nunn Salver competition) was run by Golf Australia at the Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast from 17 to 19 November 2024. Our B&D team including Kylie Jackson (C), Di Paez, Amy Kim, Nicky Stansfield, Judy Noble and Joanne Meier finished in third position behind Gold Coast (second) and Wide Bay (first). Well done to all players!
