Good afternoon everyone
Golf Australia Queensland was successful in securing a grant to promote opportunities for girls to participate and play sport. As a result, the "Every Girl Can" play golf in Queensland program has been established.
It is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with all Queensland stakeholders to provide education, development and mentorship.
Virgina Irwin (from Gold Australia Qld) would appreciate the opportunity to promote the program via our district clubs and memberships, to increase the audience and subsequently success of the program in Queensland. Sharing with members via an appropriate platform and have the members share it with clubs, facilities and contacts will extend the reach and capacity to deliver a great product. Gratitude is extended to the three host venues, PGA Professionals, staff and management committed to increasing participation and leadership opportunities for women and girls in golf.
Below and by clicking here, is some additional information.
Golf Australia Queensland is bringing this exciting event to three locations across Queensland, making it easier than ever for more girls to play golf in Queensland.
This unique program is designed exclusively for girls aged 5 to 18. The signature program will be delivered by female PGA Professionals, female PGA Associate Professionals, Women's PGA Tour Professionals, and female National Program Deliverers.
The talented all-female coaching team are passionate about empowering the next generation of golfers. "Every Girl Can" play golf is perfect for beginners and seasoned players alike. This is a chance for all girls in Queensland to learn, grow, connect, and have fun in an inspiring and supportive environment.
The three locations hosting this program are:
- Nudgee Golf Club - 20 to 21 January 2025
- Cairns Golf Club - 10 to 11 April 2025
- Hervey Bay Golf Club - 14 to 15 April 2025
Through this funding, Golf Australia is continuing to promote gender equity in sports, provide leading resources that will cater to the needs of women and girls, and to create opportunities for women and girls, particularly in remote and regional communities.
It is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the WPGA Tour of Australasia and the PGA of Australia to provide education, development and mentorship.
Golf Australia is looking to inspire more Queensland women and girls to get involved in all areas of sports across the state.
