2026 Inter-District MatchPlay is currently underway.
BACKGROUND: Inter-District MatchPlay is an event contested each year between BDLGA and Sunshine Burnett Glasshouse (SBG) Golf. Each district selects a team of 12 players with the first 6 players from each district playing Off the Stick and remaining team members playing off their respective handicaps. Two rounds are contested with both districts hosting one round each. PLEASE NOTE: The dates and venues for play vary from year to year.
BDLGA select our team via a call for Expressions of Interest (noting the EIO form will be available within the Registration Link once dates and venues are known each year). EOI calls are also shared annually with club delegates and captains for circulation within their clubs; via a BDLGA FaceBook post; and announcements made during the BDLGA Pennant season, specifically at flag presentations on final days of play. District golfers with a GA of 24 or less are strongly encouraged to submit an EOI. Selected players are provided with a team shirt and a travel allowance for the away-from-home contest.
PLEASE NOTE: the BDLGA team is selected PRIOR TO the first match of each year. In 2026, this first match was played on Sunday, 30 August 2026.
