The BDLGA are proud to announce today (Wednesday, 30 September 2026) we submitted evidence to Golf Queensland to signal our formal commencement of the Golf Australia Level Up Program. This program is a statewide and national initiative launched in Queensland to help golf clubs meet Child Safeguarding Standards and safeguard young people. Behind the scenes work has been underway since March 2026 following our EOI submission for the program, participation in the GQ Child Safeguarding webinar, briefing our delegates at our June 2026 Delegate Meeting, and completion of the Safeguarding Level 0 (aka Par) component.
Our President, Ros Englund has taken on the Safeguarding Committee Lead role and our Junior Chair role functions now include the role of Club (District) Safeguarding Officer. The BDLGA DSO can be contacted via juniors@bdlga.com.au
